Pääkaupunkiseudun Cosplay yhdistys, or PC in short, is a Cosplay community in Helsinki. We are an association open for all, but our target group is youths from age 15 to 29 that live in Helsinki or the neighboring areas and are interested in cosplay and meeting other people with similar interests.

Here’s a little summary of what we are and what we do:

• Majority of our activity is free of charge. There might be special occasions when we charge a slight fee from our activity, for example if we are cooking something and have to buy ingredients or are organizing bigger, money consuming events. Mostly our special activity includes bring-dish-table where everyone brings some food or drinks for all to share.
• Majority of our activity takes place in Happi, a youth activity centre in Sörnäisten rantatie 31. We meet every Friday (starting 29th of August) 17:00-20:30, 4th floor, room ”konflikti”. There is an youth centre attendant at the first floor who will be happy to point you in the right direction.
• Our Friday night meets are very casual, some people come in there in cosplays and do cosplay related things like photoshoot, but mostly people just hang around and talk with each other. If there are new people, we do a little meet and greet circle where everyone tells their name or nickname and answer some random question like what is your favorite color, first cosplay etc.
• Our activity is member based – meaning we organize what ever you want us to organize. In the past, this has included allnighters or whole day lasting events where we watch anime and movies, play games, sew costumes, cook and so on. We also have had pikniks, gone to amusement parks, done outdoor photoshoots and had Christmas parties and a cosplay prom. You imagine it, we do it!
